Hi,
I have a survey in text format I have imported into Civil 3d and used a description key set to allocate symbols and layers etc. Trouble is that no matter what I put into the layer field of the description key set that gets ignored when the file is imported. The layer ultimately appears to be dictated by whatever is set in the point group properties that the points are brought into. Does that not defeat the object of having a layer option in the description key set? I guess I could get around this issue by having separate point groups for each feature surveyed but would much rather have the one group called 'Survey'. Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.
