Hi there, how can I show coordinate on Civil 3D?
I inserted a map from google earth and I want the coordinate to be there.
Could anyone guide me on how to do that?
Thanks.
what i have done in the passed was under the labels command under the note catogory was create a label style that would label the coorinates and selected the point i wanted to label. it was fairly simple process.
On the Toolspace panel select the Settings tab, right click the drawing name at the top, and Edit Drawing Settings. there you will find a way to set the coordinate system in your drawing so that you can lebl lats/lons, if desired. Play with the Note label styles (Add Labels>Note) to customize one to display the data you want - either lat/lon or X,Y, presumably.
All this is assuming that whatever you brought in from Google Earth is in the correct location in the drawing, coordinately speaking.
Thanks for your reply. where can i Play with the Note label styles?
um.... what is that?
Thanks for you reply. Could you show me the steps? Thanks.
did you get to figure out how to create a label for the coorinate system
no, not yet.
okay go to lines/curves in the pulldown and select add line/curve labels, on the dialog box under feature select note under the note label style select the buttom to the right to edit the style then on the layout tab under text and contents next to note select that bottom under properties tab you will be able to select to lable northing and easting or lat and long., hope this helps you if you need any thing else me know.
