I have confirmed this on multiple computers and the same problem persits. Civil 3D 2013 will crash when the "show tolerance error in event viewer" box is checked. I unchecked the box and re-imported the same field book and it comes in fine. You can access the tolerance errors later on and display them, that seems to work fine.
