C3D 2014 - Section Editor - Deja Vu all over again

The Section Editor is very unstable and background layer control is not working. Can go Poof like this at any time during our billable design time...

Wonder how Beta Testing went? Did Mangement listen to your feedback?

I remember going through this almost exactly a year ago with 2013. We were not even able to attempt to use it for any type of production until deep into last November when SP1 finally came out..

The production quality of the new Civil 3D software releases continues to be consistent.

More than likely the crash you're running into has been logged as Defect ID 1497088.  If you would like to confirm this, you may open a subscription support case, provide your data and steps to reproduce.
