I got this error
Unable to start application (0xc000007b).
I already tried several fixes like:
1. reinstall all redist(x64 & x86).
2. reinstall .Net 4.0
3. Use CCleaner for Registry error.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.
[still eror so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one,
deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.
just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
6 I Re-install it and still the problem persist. HELP ME!
for educational purposes and I need it badly we'll use it this tueday for Engineering Drafting.

create a new user on your system, having admin-permissions.
Login with that user-account, disable UAC, disable antivirus, disconnect the network (cable and WLAN), right-click onto the AutoCAD-icon ==> option "Start as administrator" .... does that work?
BTW: what gc and what os do you have?
Also an interesting question is what hardware you have, there were some tasks that preinstalled software from some vendors were causing such issues.

if you have a student account, would 2014 be an alternative?
There are some ideas about the exception "0xc000007b" around here, but at least not a definitly fix. You can read through them >>>here<<< or you might try 2014.
Good luck, - alfred -
Future reference for others who have the same problem like me
" Unable to start application (0xc000007b) "
1. Download dll-files.com fixer, run and fix.
2. Download "dependency walker " http://www.dependencywalker.com/
as (0xc000007b) I found out that it is a complication of 64bit using wrong .dll
e.g using 32bit.dll or vice versa making the system confused. Install this software
and open autocad.exe using this software it will show what .dll has complication or
follow this instruction right here: http://msoos.wordpress.com/2010/09/11/0xc000007b-e
3. as of mine ( if we have the same problem follow this sub instruction.)
my MSVCR100.dll or commonly known as Microsoft redistributable C++ 2010 (64bit&32bit)
even if you uninstall and reinstall this it will still give the error (0xc000007b)
what to do?
* go to C:\Windows\System32 & C:\Windows\SysWOW64
find MSVCR100.dll and manually delete it, uninstall both x86 and x64 2010 redist in your system
and reinstall it.
you can find the 2010 redist installer in the "3rdParty" Folder, on the installer.
thank you for your feedback! Great you've got the hard way behind you
