Im looking for a way to be able to get the latest .ctb files and tool palettes, weekly auotmaticly,
almost like task schedular in inventor, so when the .ctb of palettes gets updated, the users get it autmaticly,
tried \inventor task schedular, by getting the latest folder, but the file types is not supported.
clearly there should be anothe way.
is there a reason they are not kept on shared folders on the server?
Otherwise, pushing modified files out to clients is a windows OS thing, not a CAD thing. Lot's of different ways to accomplish it, from login scripts to batch files to more sophisticatred tools, ala Powershell.
the reason why I dont want to do this through shared folders is that if the task scedular can run weekly,
the latest templates and ctb are alway mapped.
I dont really agree that this is a windows issue, a .ctb file is an AutoCAD file, so is a palette,
and not a windows file,
something simple as task schedular would be a great tool to get the latest from, the vault, nt having to have duplicate folder ( on a shared folder and on the vault )
Vault is more for documents (drawings) than support files like plot styles or line types. Keep them in a central folder with limited permissions. Bam. Same function as Vault, without the administrative overhead.
Ok, I will follow this route,
however, I coppied the files to the common folder, >RTC files
I can see the icons off the palletes, but it doesn work?
do i need to use another method off copying it
