Trying to utilize a .sid file within Standard AutoCAD 2013, all suggestions point to an Object Enabler but notice that for 2013 all are for Civil 3D, Plant...
Is there an object enabler for Standard 2013?
Thanks, however the link points to 2013 Civil 3D.
In my case with Standard CAD - I get the message "Command: MAPIINSERT Unknown command "MAPIINSERT". Press F1 for help." when i use that command.
Any other recommendations?
The enabler is called CIVIL 3D: if you open the README file it lists the applications that it works for, and you will see R2013 listed.
The other enablers are called by the application they 'enable': you have plain AutoCAD 2013, you don't need an enabler called "plain AutoCAD 2013":
Installed the enabler, however, still don't have access to the command. Reading the readme, sounds like this enabler doesn't give additional command -
Did I do something incorrect in assuming this would give me the ability to open the .sid files within CAD?
The link in my first reply identified R2013 a not needing an enabler: I believe they were referencing page 29 of the Lynn Allen tips PDF: http://lynn.blogs.com/files/autocad-2013-tips-and-
My second reply may have confused the issue as I understood the OP still wanted the Civil 3D enabler. My apologies.
