Hi Everyone;

     I have a big problem. We received some files from a consultant and they are missing a shx file called TSAEC.shx. We tried everything from asking them to send it to us to (which they say they are having the same problem) to either deleting everything from the file which we did. We erase eveything wblock the final dwg to where nothing is in there. Reopen the file and it is still asking us for the same stupid TSAEC.shx. I've look and tried information from cadpanacea.com. still nothing. Does anyone have any clue as to how to get rid of It. Any and all suggestions and comments will be appreciated.

Thanks and have a great weekend.

Ray

It may be a shape file, and not a text font file: in which case it is embedded in an object or linetype: I'm not sure of ytour approach, but if you need a blank file I would not 'erase everything' in a problem file to get there.
