White washed renders, desaturated

Hi,

Ive been trying to render a really simple blue table- similar to the table in the left from the attachment photo, and whatever i do it renders white washed, in order for the color to stay the same it has to be a darker environment, but then its too dark, i have tried setting the camera differently and ive read about the gamma correction settings that i should use and ive tried to apply them,

So the main point is however that i would like the material to appear realistic, and really similar to the one in the photo as closely as possible,

Would there be anyone with a tip on how to do that?

I took a quick look at your file and I would recommend reading some tutorials about studio lighting and materials creation to start.

There are many things that would help you to achieve what you are looking for but it is not about one setting but rather many things working at the same time.

Your lighting is not optimal, Your render setting seems very random, and your material is just a plain color.

If you like to achieve some photorealism you need to work in many areas, even post work.

Google would be your best friend, in this case, look for:

Object modeling in 3D Studio, Studio Lighting or lighting in general in Studio Max and VRay.  Basic and complex material, Composition, color theory,  post-processing images.

Best luck.
