V-Ray Lighting Looks Bad

I am currently using V-Ray Next with a dome light. The results are very dim and flat.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance. 🙂

So... what are you trying to render???

what you see is what you should get if you place a light and a ball with no material properties.

There is no material on the sphere.

This Link below should become your new best friend. You'll learn many things from here, also there are quick tutorials that can put you up and be running very quickly using V-Ray

Hi,

Dome light will provide uniform lighting from all directions. In addition

To that, there is no object under the sphere that plays the role of a ground,

If you create a plane under the sphere you'll notice that parts of the ball, basically

Those closer to the ground, will get dimer, and you'll have a sense of a 3D object.

Now if you want to increase the light intensity so it won't be dim, you need to increae

The Multiplier value that is currently set to 1.0
