unwrap uvw multiple objects

Hi all,

I have modeled a robot wich represents several poly objects. I'd like to apply a single material to the whole selection (the robot), but the issue is that whenever i select the a part of the body called X, when i open uvw editor , i can only see the X texture coordinates. I'd like to see every object's texture coordinate in order to avoid any overlaping meshes in the uvw editor.

How to do so please ?

Hi. Select all of your robot parts and apply Unwrap UVW. Your Unwrap UVW then should be instanced. You can edit your UVs by each object, but if you want to view all of them at the same time, select all of your robot objects, then open the UV Editor. You will then be able to view and edit all at the same time. Hope this makes sense.

Could this be an optimization step for applying the same texture & uv layout to similar objects in one draw call?

Or am I completely wrong?
