Toon shader - Arnold - Styilized Highlight - Not working

Hi.

I'm playing around in with the toon shader in Arnold.

Been going through the sample Sophie, but the Stylized Highlight , does not seem to work in 3dsmax

From the sample "Create a directional (distant) light and angle it in a similar position to the physical_sky (you will need to do this by eye).

Under stylized_highlight enter the name of the directional light (this may vary according to which Arnold plugin you are using.) Check the toon documentation for the correct naming convention. For example, in MtoA it would be directionalLightShape1

Increase the size of the stylized_highlight to around 0.2."

So I have made a highlight that is called ArnoldLight002, it is a distance light, and put the name of it in the tonnshader stylized highlight , adjusted the Specular Weight and Roughness, but nothing happens, like in the video for the same tutorial for Maya

Do I have to rename the light something else ?
Do I have to have some specific name ?
Is it broken or am I doing some thing wrong ?

Im on 3dsmax 2025,3, have also tried on 3ds 2024, but the same nothing.

Thanks
Jonmundur

Works well here. The slash as 1st character is important: in your case "/ArnoldLight002".

Beautiful!! and many Thanks!!.
I had tried a lot of things to see if i could get it to work, nothing worked.

Never thought of putting "/" in front of the light name in the shader.
And yes it worked :slightly_smiling_face:

Correct, the correct way to enter info is with "/".
I'll make a note to add the right format in the example.

Thank you both!

Thanks

I noticed now, that the documentation for the toon feature in 3ds Max mentions "/" in the lightName I must have missed that detail during my first time reading the doc.
Dyslexia :slightly_smiling_face:
