Submit to Network Rendering, saving incomplete image

I am using backburner to submit a rendering job to our render farm.  We have five servers that can work it. I finally got all of our network security to allow me to submit the job and it's saving a file, but the file is a black screen with just the render blocks showing.  Has anyone ever encountered this and know a fix?

Look into the render options and how Arnold handles errors.

You probably have some maps, or something the render servers can't find, and it is erroring out.

Look into setting turning abort on error on the diagnostics tab, and make sure you have a log file turned on so you can see some possible reasons why.

I hope this helps.

I’ve had similar problems before with my local render farm.

Check your dependent paths for maps, etc. and make sure they are network paths not local.

A good tool is the asset tracker in 3ds max that shows all of the dependent files.
