Rendering varies on dedicated rendering PC...need help figuring out the problem

Hey everyone. I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I do IT support for one of my clients who uses 3DS Max for rendering images for presentations/proposals. Anyway, in their environment one of their graphic designers creates images and then uses 3DS Max to render. In the past, we would have him design on his PC and then have him do the renders before he left at night on that same PC. This led to challenges, since the renders take a long time, and we would experience bottlenecks where he couldn't be productive. To solve this issue, we got a PC dedicated simply to do renders, so that when he was done working he could just start the render on this dedicated machine. To the best of our knowledge it meets the required hardware recommendations to perform a successful render.
While the bottleneck issue has been solved, we are noticing significant differences in the render quality between his existing PC, which seems to do renders perfectly, and the new PC, which has minor changes. I've attached two sample images to this post. On one of them, the image comes out fine because it came from the original PC doing the rendering (the one with Fix in the file name), and on the other image you'll notice in particular on the ceiling portion of the image there is this weird blurring of the texture. Clearly the PC is rendering an image, but for some reason it is different.
To be completely frank, my background is in IT and not in graphic design, but my suspicion is that this is probably not a hardware problem but rather a configuration problem in 3DS Max with how it is set to render images on the new PC. Does anyone have any tips for me to try out to attempt to resolve the issue? Thanks in advance for the help!
