Hi guys,
Struggling with rendering at the moment. For some reason only the sky and a grey ground appear in my images even though there is a building there to render too. the first image is what is in the camera view and the second is what the render comes out as. Any help would be much appreciated.
Any chance the objects, or layers they are on, are set to be non renderable?

Thanks for the reply. There did seeem to be a lot of things that were turnt off in the layers however it didnt seem to make a difference.
in the pic below you can see the outline of the building and some double yellow lines on the road but its still completely faded.
Hmmm... select one of the objects, right click, and choose V-Ray Properties. In the dialog box that comes up, look in the upper right corner. Matte object and Matte for refl/refr should both be unchecked, and the Alpha contribution should be set to 1.0.

Select an object that isn't showing up, do a Save Selected. Zip up that file and post it here so we can have a look.

The objects are showing up, they are just very faded and it seems like the environment is in the foreground rather than the background.
Are they affecting the Alpha channel?

In the render frame window, along the top, there are some colored circles; red, green, blue. There is also one that is white and black. Click that and it will display the Alpha Channel. An image's alpha is transparent pixels that will show through what is behind it.

Okay, that means it IS affecting the alpha channel.
Like I asked earlier, grab an object that isn't rendering correctly (along with your camera) and do a Save Selected. Zip up that scene and post it here so we can take a look at settings.

recheck the position of your camera, it could be that there is some object with glass material on its front

I had the same problem and solved it by un-checking the clipping option for the camera. Hope this helps anyone!
