My model is transparent (3ds max 2018)

So for a project im making an Injustice 2 parody trailer. I don't have this problem with any other .obj file I import so Its purely for this model.

I got an XNAlara and converted it to an obj. file via Blender. Pre-rendered in standard view it looks all right

But post-rendered it looks like this

test2.PNG

It looks the same way when I switch to High Quality in the viewport:

ggggggg.PNG

I tried exporting and re-importing it as an fbx file and this is how it turned out.
Pre-Rendered:

Post-Rendered:

test4.PNG

Any suggestions on what I can do???

btw not sure if this helps but The model isn't one big piece its about a dozen or more models that make up the character's limbs, armor, eyes etc.

Hi KaijuD,

Thanks for your message. As prosaic as this may sound, could you try resetting your 3ds Max user preferences to see if this helps fix the viewport issues? You can look at a related article on this problem here.

Please let us know if this helps!

There doesn't seem to be much wrong with the opacity I sent the model to a friend of mine and he said something like

"chect it out in photoshop and you'll see it doesnt have a filled background... maybe it was made like that for a special purpose .... it probably was a game model that needed to have a special effect of him being able to disappear. so just paint a texture for him, or fill in the background of the texture in photoshop"

I'm not sure if that would be a good idea or not because I don't want to alter the files in anyway that would make things more complicated

I opened up the material editor and the opacity was already at 100 with all the parts selected.

It didn't.

Also yeah i can confirm 100% that the object's opacity is perfectly normal that's not the issue apparently its something else.
