Mental Ray | Volume Light effect

Hi

I would like to have the volume effect in interior design themes using Mental Ray daylight?

Anyone knows how to apply it, I tried it in 3ds Max 2008 Scanline Render!!,

I couldn't apply it in mental ray in 3ds max 2016.

Any advice!!

I've been following a tutorial that uses mr Sky Portal to produce volume light. If you bring up the environment settings window (8) and scroll down to atmosphere (effects), the add button should give you an option for 'volume light'. I can't say if this actually works (or if it will work on your lighting setup) as I'm having a problem where the portal renders black so I'm unable to test (any help is welcome! )
