Hello,
I want to create a single shader texture from my camera view, just projected from that camera view.
In Maya this would be pretty straight forward: You select camera, object and shader and get with pressing a button your texture.
However in 3ds Max I know only a cumbersome process, which seems limited on 2k output.
Maybe there is something new now with 3dsMax 2021 baking tools??
(I'm still not too familiar with 3dsMax and wasted a lot time on this topic)
My known workflow is currently:
- Render a picture from the camera
- assign this rendering to a bitmap node
- create Camera Map Per Pixel node and assign the same camera and the btitmap node with rendered image
- assign this as diffuse to a new shader
- Render to texture (limited on 2k) and assign result into self-illumination
I followed also this old tutorial Bake a Camera Projection to a Model in MAX- Part Two
Is that workflow up-to date or are there better workflows/tools to achieve this?
Thanks
