Email notifaction of render completion

Is there a trick to setting up Email notifaction of render completion? My company email admin says our email won't work. Any generic emails work, like GMAIL?

It's been some time since you've asked the question, you might have found anyways, but if you haven't, the answer is yes, there is:

Right Here. There is also a render termination alert in Customize /Preferences - Rendering Tab. Just notification of finished rendering.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, not just any kind of email server will work. Gmail, didn't work.

I think there is more fine details that need to be known -- special email server type?
