Hi, i'm pretty new to 3ds max, I have latest
version 2017 with the updates installed.
When putting a logo on the side of the car using composite material with UV map:
the decal looks to render ok, but some areas are rendering black or what seems to be transparent.
rear wheel arch, passenger handle and below the door.
this is rendered with just the Shellac material.
Please can someone help this is so frustrating.

I'm still getting a problem, when i have 2 decals close together 1 of the decals transparency areas overlays another decal and cuts a chunk out of it.
it only happens when i render it looks fine in the view port.
Thanks
Hello @rez1n,
I apologize for my absence, I was on vacation for a week. Thanks for your patience while I was away. The BOX folder still exists if you'd like to upload your file, I'd happy to check it out! Otherwise, (and I'm guessing) you might want to make sure your maps aren't set to tile (image on page 1 of this thread). Also, if you're using composite maps to combine them, you likely will need to make sure the mask layers above the bottom layer are set to 'screen'. Can you please try those for me and if that fails, upload your scene to the Box and I'll take a look? Thanks very much!
