rendering window too small

Hello,

My rendering window is very small. I can go around it by expanding the window and zoom-in, but doing so every time is very frustrating. I was wondering if there is a way to change it's settings.

FYI- not sure if it's related- the materials in the materials window are also very small. They are not readable unless I zoom-in a lot.

I tried increasing the font and icons size on my pc's display settings, but that makes all the rest of the icons and menus too large to fit the screen. And it didn't change the rendering window's size anyway.

I use Surface Book Performance Base 2015. Everything runs smoothly so far apart from those issues.

Do you know how I can change the window size for good?

Thank you so much!!!

Sorry, I don't understand your question as your rendering window looks perfect: It looks exaclty as it should be.

thank you for commenting! the rendering window has a grey area surrounding the rendered viewport. In all the video tutorials I watched, I saw the rendered viewport fills up the rendering window completely, no grey area. I wonder if there is something off with my settings... I have a small display and often work on detailed illustrations so I need as much space I can get ideally... Right now every single time I render I need to manually increase the window size and zoom in.

I had the same issue and here's how I resolved it.

1.  F10 / Render Settings

2.  Common Tab

3.  Area to Render, set to Selected

Hope this helps!
