Hi @Anonymous,

the 3dsMax2019.1.1_Update.exe is for 3dsMax 2019, not for 3dsMax 2014.

You need to get 3dsMax 2019 prior to install 2019.1.1 update.

I hope this can help.

Regards,

Hi @Anonymous,

to get the updates for 3dsMax 2019, use the Autodesk Desktop App that got installed with 3dsMax.
If you cannot find it on your PC, you can also get it here:
https://www.autodesk.com/desktop-app

The Autodesk Desktop App can help manage all Autodesk applications and their updates.

I hope this can help,

I have it installed on my PC, but my 3DS Max 2019 is a trial version.

Currently I have 3DS max 2019 Trial, but one of my scripts has a problem running on it. Is it possible to either update it to 2019.2, if so can I get a link to it, because it doesn't show up on my Autodesk Desktop app. Alternatively, can I get a trial version for 3DS Max 2018 instead of 2019? If so can I get the link for the same?

Hi @Anonymous

If you log into your account on the Autodesk website and navigate to the products and services dropdown, you will see all your available products and update downloads below that.

As @ads_royje mentioned, you must have the base version of the software downloaded before installing it's update. I'm not too familiar with the student version of the product, but I would be surprised if it didn't come with the ability to update to the newest version of the software.

If you are not seeing those updates, I can loop in our Installation & Licensing specialist to help you out 😄

Hi @hagen.deloss

Thanks for your help. I don't see it under products and services because it is trial and also, no updates for it.

However, It works now, got the 2019.2 update from one of your Autodesk Team member and the issue is solved. .

@Anonymous

Thanks for the information, I'm happy everything is working for you now!

You are correct, trial versions of Autodesk software don't come with the ability to download updates. Here is all the documentation I could find on downloading trial versions of Autodesk software 😄

Sorry if my previous post was misleading!
