How to assign texture to the materials in scene using max script?

How can I add an or rename a texture to a material in scene using max script?

Your question is as vague as "how much seasoning should I add to my food?"

 

What is Texture in your case? There is Bitmap, and TextureMap... also there is BitmapTexture. What type of Material?

I don't get you guys, are you saving pixels on the screen? Is this some kind of Greenpeace action?
Can you formulate the question in a clear and complete manner?

Hello, 

 

 I have a 3D Model which contains a lot of elements with the same name (walls, floors, doors...). What i did is to assign manually the textures to my elements (with bitmap, and Autodesk Material Library). What i want to have is a script with MaxScript allows me to assign automatically the textures to my elements, so if i want to change a texture for example, i can do it automatically not manually. Do you have any idea how i can do this ?
