Turn off map in map channel

hi all,

I'm trying to write a little script to process imported SketchUp scenes and want to disable, but not delete, the texture map in the diffuse map channels for all the materials. I've looked through the help files but have not been able to find how to access that check box in the maps rollout.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Assuming Standard Materials, then:-

$.material.diffuseMapEnable = false

should do the trick. For an MR Arch&Design Material then

$.material.diff_Color_Map_On = false

I knew it had to be something simple- just couldn't figure out where to look for it

ShowProperties (and similar functions) are your friend(s) when looking for things like that.

showProperties $.material

lists all the proerties of the material on the selected object. Just look down the list until you see something appropriate.
