store 3D transform data inside particle system?

as a workaround for scatter (which does only scatter a single object, and not stuff like vrayproxies...not scriptable...) i'm searching for a scripted method.
does anybody know if it's possible to simply store 3D transform data (pos, rotation, scale) inside a particle system so this array can be used at rendertime to position geometry or preferably proxies?
