In case anyone here is a modeler for Valve Source games... I wanted to share my first MaxScript (which I co-wrote with Andrew Penry). It's nothing super fancy but it optimizes your time when you are making collisionmodels for a static_prop entity in your level. What it does:
*Applies a unique Smoothing Group to each Element sub-object.
*Applies a material with a bitmap in the diffuse channel.
Both of those steps are required but mind-numbing when building a collision model. So now you can automate them with this script.
