maxsdk missing for 2021

Where to download the maxsdk for 2021 ? It is not shown in the installation wizard. There are entries for example for "revit interop", but i can not find the sdk.  Has this been moved to a completely different place ? Or is it necessary to do extra steps in the UI, like scrolling to a hidden area

Found it. It isnt in the main installer.  Go to https://www.autodesk.com/developer-network/platform-technologies/3ds-max#3dsmax-sdk   and then scroll down.

I'm happy you found the 3ds Max 2021 SDK on the Autodesk Developr Network.

We made all versions of the 3ds Max SDK available there for free.

You can access directly the 3ds Max SDK download page from 3ds Max 2021 itself. Go to Help menu > 3ds Max Developer Resources > 3ds Max SDK Download.

Furthermore, the 3ds Max SDK is still on the cd-image (<cd-image-root>>\x64\Tools\MAXSDK\SDK_3dsMax.msi) if you wish to install it from there.

Thanks Attila.  Note that the server behind this link is overloaded. Yesterday it always failed after 4.6 M of 37.5 M. Today i found that it helps to cancel the download, and then launch a new one. This adds something like 0.1 M each time.  The throughput is variable.  This morning i suceeded to get another 6 M, so at the moment i am at 11M of 37. However meanwhile the server got slower again, as of now it is completely frozen. Maybe if you had a second server somewhere and a second link to download that would help with load balancing. I dont know if this is a regional effect. Your server seems to be Amazon cloud, which usually works. But maybe this part of the world (= europe) is currently less active. Who knows, the Amazon employees also might have had contact to covid19 and then the servers arent managed as well as usually. Essentially i wonder why i am the only person on the planet that sees this problem. For now i cancel the downloads and will try again later in some hours.

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble downloading it.

I can download it in 3 seconds, and I'm not connected to the Autodesk network.

I'll let the ADN folks know anyway, so they can look into it.

Hi matttthias, I also just double-checked the link and it is working ok for me. This is an Amazon S3 storage behind it, so regionally it might take longer.

But, another option for you is to see if your download media has it. My download media has it located here in the unzipped folder: .\x64\Tools\MAXSDK as an MSI file. 

Can you check it and let us know if that will work? If not, I can try to get it to you through another means.

Hi @matttthias any luck getting the 2021 SDK? Not sure if you caught my last reply here... Depending on how you installed 3ds Max 2021, the download media could have it already. But please let us know if not and I will sort out why you cannot download from the 3ds Max developer center.
