Maxscript Help not working

For some reason it doesnt work

In maxscript coding window i have for example "getDirectories"... select it and press F1 and it goes to the help that just shows nothing relevant... just a bunch of forum posts... why isnt it finding the help section for that method?... ive tried to download the help files for 2024 both in the csm and html format but neither of them work... can you please fix it so it works?

For referense... this is what i get when searching "getDirectories"...

they broken the help reference system ，and have no ability to fix ，instead they even remove offline help，you may know what is dei ,and how it destroy the order

This is the typical effect of the “loss of knowledge” from the next generation of software developers 😉

But they were at least able to create an offline version of Max2026 C++ SDK subset.

But don't ask me where they have made this version available for download - seem to be top secret.

I suggest to bookmark online help and just use that or use .chm file (works for me).

I received an inofficial C++ SDK 2026 chm file directly from AD, but I'm not sure, if I'm allowed to share.

It only contains the C++ API (aparently created via doxygen from the sourcecode) but not the general SDK topics.

Nevertheless very helpful!

for some reason... today i do the same thing... even in the same session of 3dsmax as i did yesterday... pressing F1 when having "getDirectories" selected and finally i get some results that is relevant... i guess it is random? Some days the help is useful... some days its useless... just autodesk being autodesk.
