How to convert mesh world position to UVW?

Hi! How to convert world position to the UVW? I have a mesh, which is plane which is 1:1 UVW representation, but I struggle to understand, how to establish connection between any point on that mesh in world coordinates to corresponding position onto its UVW
Google searches lead me to barycentric coordinates, but they kinda only give face coordinates, and nothing leads to UVW in the end
