Just messing around with an idea: Is it possible with Maxscript to spew out a copy of an error in the listener or as editable text (so it can be copied & pasted into another document)?
Say for example, on loading a scene Max kicks up a fuss about missing textures. As far as I know you can't simply select this text so it can be copied & pasted. However if that error was to appear in the listener you could.
Please note I'm sure there are many ways around missing textures but I'm interested in saving time by copying text thrown up from errors and and the like without having to type them all out (and risk typos and therefore more missing files). Not a problem if you have 3 missing files, but can get tedious if there are 300 missing. Cheers.
