Custom Viiewport Shading in recent versions of 3D Studio Max

Hi guys,
We have a plugin for 3dsmax that implements custom viewport shading via your legacy DirectX9 interface - a derivative of your old MetalBump9 sample code.
I'd like to port this plugin to your latest interface. Please could you point me at some sample code that demonstrates how to obtain DirectX11 interfaces in Max2016 & render something into the viewport - in effect a DX11 equivalent of MetalBump9.
