Control CPUs on a render slave script?

Hi all. I already know about and use CPU PowerCoreTools in order to control the number of CPUs used on my local computer. But I have a situation with a render slave computer which basically gets double use. It's quite powerful but is sometimes negligeably used for bookkeeping by someone else. If I could control the # of CPUs remotely for Max, then that would help me out. Does anyone here know if a script like this exists?

Hi Dennis, This is a third party tool, so maybe the best place to ask is to approach the author. I found the tools published here: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/powercoretools-tweak-3ds-maxs-cpu-resource-usage and it points to a live website here: http://www.frogsinspace.at/.

I took a quick look and it appears the tool is made up of scripts, so probably there is some way to also script it at start-up. Even seeing the fact that you can preset the values, you might be able to sort out how they store them and just switch configuration files when you need to switch between different saved settings. I found C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2016 - 64bit\ENU\plugcfg_ln\PowerCoreTools.ini that seems to store the values. Anyway, hope it helps.
