changing animation preview player?

Don't want to use windows media player. Is there a way to do this with maxscript? Couldn't find anything in the help files.

You need to change the file associations in windows. Max will use which ever I believe. You could create a script that launches a known file in a given app. shellLaunch will do this for you.
