black rectangle on the screen after launch

hi 

i have downloaded the student version of 3d max and after i launch the program and right after it opens on my computer a black rectangle is covering most of the screen and i cant make any action not even close the program. i tried changing the graphic mode and tried to download again after uninstalling it but it keeps happening. can you help me out please?

Try Updating your Graphic Card's driver from the manufacturer's site.

A question: You mentioned that you changed the Graphic Mode, did you try them all?
