3D Studio Release 4.0

Hey there,

I still own 3D Studio R. 4.0 and Animator Pro. I misplaced the dongle and wondering if I can find a programmer to override this. I have the serial numbers and proof of purchase, but since it's no longer supported by Autodesk, I thought I'd search for those who have used it before and appreciate it's value despite it's age.

I remember using those programs. I cant help you with dongle issue but at this point in time there are enough good free 2d and 3d programs out there that I would recommend moving on.

Not that I can help, though, but this SURE is a trip down memory lane 🙂

I started out with R4 as well, and back in the day cracked versions of R4 were everywhere.

In the usenet groups people always complained about "Invalid normals array" seen in the cracked version,  and some guy called John Foust always replied "Just reinstall from the discs you purchased from Autodesk, and insert the dongle". He was notorious. We called it "you just got Fousted!!" LOL 🙂
