when you create a AEC door do you use the snaps tool? in top view you drag out the widith then Depth then the height? once you selected the door you have tick/check boxes in the modify panel you can flip the swing you can make them double doors and flip the hinges the only reason that hignes are grayed out is because your in double doors,

Thanks for your reply. Actually i was doing wrong, first i clicked once there and then choosing another point, that was wrong. First choose the initial point then the second by dragging with pressing the mouse.

as said if you use the snap tool to you create a windows/door then it should be ok, i am not sure why the XYZ is changing when you create the doors? when you in rotation use the Type in tranform

Perhaps this screencast may be helpful to you.  Remember to use click-drag-click and not click, click, click.
