Modelling water flow and splash/bubbles into a pool

Evening all!
Would be really interested to hear thoughts on modelling water flow and the splash of the water in to the pool as on the attached image.
I am thinking particle system for the flowing water, but not sure how to realistically get that to interact with the water in the pool?

many thanks in advance2.jpg

Guess it would be better and easier to use  MaxFluids for this:

Hi.

Update. I ended up poly modelling the water flow which gave a great result with a water material applied, quite simple in the end.

I looked at MaxFluids which looks amazing however I didn’t use it in the end for this. Little more practice required with this!

I used a particle system to add water bubbles to the top of the water. Then finished off in Photoshop to add a bit more of an effect.

Quick snapshot attached for reference

thanks for the input
