Measure tool

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to use 3DSMAX for 3D printing. I tried to create a tube

with dimensions given in the photos I joined (see parameters, radius1, radius2).

I used measure tool to check the result on two

inner circle vertex with snap 3D on.

Results are ... Stranges ...

Measure tool says : 0.617 cm for radius 1 !

I use 3DSMAX 2016, I set 1 unit = 1 cm, display unit scale with metric and centimeters.

Any help is welcome ...

I assume your snap is set to vertex.  It is not a good idea to measure distance in an principal view of a 3d object.  That is a view exactly perpendicular to the plane you want to measure in.  You cannot be sure of the depth of the vertices you are snapping to.  Is one vertex nearer to the viewer than the other?  I have found the measure distance function to be somewhat finicky.  Rotate the view to another orientation then take your measurement.  I would trust the Tube parameters over the results of measure distance.
