Hi! I'm an ID student trying to finish my project before Monday, and I extruded walls from layers in my floor plan that I imported to 3DSMAX. The thing is, no matter how thick I make my door + use snap with edges and such, there is no hole whatsoever and it just glitches through the wall. Fine, I'll just proboleen it, but it shares a layer with the rest of my wall and whenever I do it, it deletes my wall as well. I am confused, and obviously, my 3DSMAX lecturer did not teach us at all last semester, so I'm wasting time independently googling solutions. Please help.

You can try to make a hole manually there.

Select faces on both sides, inset, delete.

Move vertices around to match you door.

Doors and Windows only have Boolean functionality if used as children of a Wall object.
