Editable spline - how to create an edge between two existing vertices?

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to create an edge when vertices already exist? I can create it if i create the vertices ("refine" with connect option activated) but not if they already exist. I tried selecting vertices and then clic "connect" but nothing happens.

Otherwise, I turn the editable spline into editable poly but in this case, edge disappears, there are only vertices left and I use cut tool to create edges.

Any idea how to it in editable spline mode?

Thank you.

Not possible if I'm not mistaken. Splines can either be open or one closed continuous shape.

What exactly are you trying to achieve. Perhaps I could suggest an alternative workflow.

Hi,

thank you for the reply. I was wondering how to create a simple mesh with quads from a spline because if I add edit poly modifier to my spline, it creates multiple vertices and if I try to connect them, I will have huge number of quads, triangles, polyN, and it will take me a lot of time to get a proper mesh.

1) Set interpolation segments in Editable spline to 0

2) Assign Turn To Poly modifier to spline, check "Make polygons convex" or/and "limit polygon size" - set to number of edges you want...

Or...

Assign Quadify Mesh mod. to spline and set polygon size
