Draw Order?

Hi,

Im drawing lines on 3ds Max on top of a cad plan, and when I draw a line it seems to be under de plan making it difficult to select the lines later on, or telling where they are. Is there a way for the lines to be visible on top of these plans?

Plese Help.

Hi. Max doesn't use "draw order" in that sense, like i.e. Illustrator. Instead you can use the high value (z value). The easiest (or one of them) way to do a job like the one you describe, is lower the cad plan slightly, and lock it (without hiding it) set it to still being snap able. Then set your snap to "2 1/2". This makes it possible to snap to x and y in 3d but still only draw in z=0.

Hope it helps

You can create custom grid, position it, activate by right mouse click and draw on grid. When finished, activate home grid.
