Is it possible to convert a Nurbs curve into an editable spline?

Here's 2 ways... they aren't perfect...

A. Convert to Editable Mesh, then Editable Poly. Select an Edge, then grab the Loop and do a Create Shape From Selection.

B. Create sphere. Make your Curve a path via a Path Constraint controllers for the sphere. In the Motion Panel/Trajectories, use the Convert To button to create spline.

For A, the spline will be somewhat offset. For B, you'll have to edit the spline to match the shape you want.

Absolutely brilliant!

By setting my path convert to number of frames=number of samples, I end up with a editable spline that has the same shape
and resolution as the nurbs curve.

Awesome!

Glad that worked for you, and nice addition of # of frames = # of samples.

You may be interested in Rob Gordon's spline optimizer script over at Scriptspot.

I've not tried it, but plan to.

I want to know your conversion technique on "By setting my path convert to number of frames=number of samples"

Can you tell me how? I try but I don't see any options for that.

Thanks in advanced.

and again autodesk in all its glory.
they will do something. With which then it is impossible to work.
The one who creates this is clearly without brains.
