The Chamfer modifier has been improved a lot, but I still think it is missing something crucial: a "Percentage" mitering option, just like in Blender.
None of the mitering options in the Chamfer modifier currently follows the edge flow. And it causes lots of overlapping, depending on how tight certain areas of the geometry are.
The workaround is to use the Connect tool to create "support loops" and turn on the "Limit Effect" option in the Chamfer modifier. But it's still time-consuming when we have lots of chamfer operations to do. So, I don't see a reason why the Chamfer modifier is not capable of following an edge flow, while the Connect tool can do that just fine.
