Bridge a closed edge loop

Let's say I had a tube and I want to close off its bottom side. In Blender, I can select the loop of inner edges for that side and press F, which would create a face between them single face between them, regardless of the number of edges selected. Is there a way to do that in 3DS Max? If not natively, then maybe by a free plugin or a custom script?

It's a different thing- I do not have a hole in my mesh that i can cap. Imagine a coffee mug that i have modelled in 3d, which has thickness. If i wanted to close its mouth, what would i do? I want to select the edge loop on the mouth of the mug and click some button or use some hotkey that wpuld create a polygon with all the selected edges as its sides.

got your questions, my apology for the misinterpretation...at the moment, 3ds max don't have that features. alternatively, you may select that closed loop edges, and hit the create shape from selected and apply edit poly to make a polygon from it

Thanks... it's a little more cumbersome than I'ld like but it kinda works. Just 1 more question- When I search "create shape from edge" it shows two results saying the same thing. What's the difference between them? This happens for some other searches as well.

smooth - the shape is a curve
linear - the shape is segmented
