are there any autodesk programs that have the ability to import a video and replace the action in the video with a 3d model skeleton doing the action? for example...

a video of a person doing martial arts/ The video is imported into Auto desk?? and the program creates a copy with tha skeleton model in place of the person doing the same acts

What you're asking cannot be done by any program in the world (automatically, at least). There isn't enough data contained in a video from a single camera to reconstruct the subject's movements in 3 dimensions. You can import the video into max and animate a skeleton by eye (or perhaps use motion builder) but that's the best you can do.

If you have a multiple camera set up, you can generate motion capture data and use that in max, but you need to set things up right going in.

Why not use Biped?

Create the skeleton pieces, link them to the appropriate Biped pieces.
Then use the BIP files that come with Max or the motion capture files.

What you are describing is motion capture, or mocap. There are companies that can supply you with all sorts of motion.

There are tutorials that ship with max which cover using Biped with motion files, the Motion Mixer, etc.
