After boolean, so many facets...How to remove?

Hello,

I used a boolean to cut holes into my main object, and now my main object has so many segments or facets (I'm not sure what to call them, maybe even segments).  I also used a campher (sp?) to round the edges, so that may have where I actually went wrong, I'm not really sure.  You can see in the picture all of those white lines...I'm trying to drastically reduce the number of those, but I don't see anywhere in the menus or options where I can do it. I see places where numbers of segments and other things like that are listed, but they all seem to be set to 1 and make no difference when I adjust them. Any help would be really appreciated, I've tried Youtube and other tutorials, but haven't been able to find a solution to this problem. How can these lines be reduced? How can these lines be reduced?

Thanks very much,

Jt Hendrix

Hi,

Instead of Boolean try the ProBoolean tool,

After that, when you convert to Editable Poly and add the Chamfer modifier

Experiment with the other option called Standard Chamfer

ProBoolean + ChamferProBoolean + Chamfer

Try using the Merge tool modifier.  It looks like many of the faces have similar if not identical normals.
