XREF objects - Presets issue

Why can't I change preset AFTER loading XREF objects?

It's very frustrating, if you've set up a scene using a ton of xref objects, and then find out, you had to use the "local" for tracks, and then you can't change the "import" settings. I did a workaround by changing the controllers of all the xref objects to "PRS", instead of XREF manually, but each time I create new objects in the xref object file, and update, then their controllers also have to be changed.

Why can't you just change the "import" presets later on, if you want to?

Okay, so Autodesk regards this as an idea? Not something obvious missing?

That amazes me.

I will create a "socalled" idea out of this then.
