i have this Error :

i have 3DSMax 2014 :

Some materials in this scene may not be supported by certain applications and will import as standard gray materials instead. The following materials are affected:
-Material #1

only im setted a PNG image as a Material with cicking on object and press "M" button on keyboard im Material popup im selected Max > diffuse > click on NONE > Bitmap > and im selected my PNG image.

whene i try this way to set a  PNG or JPG image as a Material to an Object , when exporting i see this Error unfortunately :

Some materials in this scene may not be supported by certain applications and will import as standard gray materials instead. The following materials are affected:
-Material #1

but my fiends using this way to set an image as a material to him object with 3DMAX 2018 with no trouble or an Error , but i have this error in my 2014 3DMAX.

what you think ? what happened ?

What material are you using? FBX only is able to export properly standard scanline material. This means no physical material etc

This is a severe limitation for FBX as can not even export PBR textures as standard scanline material doesn't support them. But if you use standard scanline material you will get better compatibility that you have now.

Using the standard scanline material instead other materials.

That is the reason why I ask you what material are you using. In some settings this material can be unavailable.

Bitmap map is not a material. It needs to be connected to a material to work.

Send a screenshot of your material in the material editor

That is a vray material and you need a standard scanline material. Vray won't export to FBX

You can convert that material to standard scanline or to create a material from scratch.

It is better if you get used to use the slate material editor instead the compact material editor from your video.

this is the standard material scanline:

It similar to the vray material you was using but simpler. Simply assign the texture to the bitmap map, then the bitmap map to the standard scanline material and finally the material to the object.

Then you can export it without problems.
