Swift Loop Limitation

Hi, is what i am doing a limitation of swift loop? I have not been using max for too long but would have though adding edges was quite easy. To demonstrate my issue I have done the following;

1. Created a box standard primitive

2. Converted to editable poly

3. Extruded one side

Up to this point swift loop works as it should.

4. Chamfer 2 edges

This is where swift loop falls over, edges cannot be added over the entire geometry in x,y and z.

Image below may clarify better.

Thanks for any help.

I am using 3DSmax Design 2015

Cheers for that.

What would you say is the best way to add edges on non quads? I can't find a good way to do this.

Thanks

Cut Tool, Quick Slice, select polys then use the Slice Plane, select edges and Connect them. Take your pick. Each has their uses - use whichever is most appropriate under specific circumstances. You may need to use a combination of them to get the desired result.
