Hey Gang,
Im looking to introduce a geometry into an editable spline for a bespoke window mullion.

However, not surprisingly, its a hit and miss.

Wondering if anyone has any advice on this. Files attached

Kind regards,
LL

To fix what you have, rotate the shape IN SUB-OBJECT MODE. So, select all vertices, make sure you are using 'Use Selection Center' and rotate them +/- 90 degrees until you get it where you want.

A couple rules to drawing splines to be used in sweeps that will help you to predict the behavior better:

  1. Draw all 'rail' splines (the spline to Sweep) in TOP view. Always. Even if it's supposed to be vertical, like your mullions, just rotate it up after creating.
  2. Draw all 'profile' splines in the FRONT view. Always.
